Prerequisite

Before you start migrating Sendroid Ultimate from one server to another, please ensure that the following conditions are met. The migration process may be unsuccessful if any one of them is not met.

  1. You have experience with cPanel, FTP and PHPMyAdmin and PHP
  2. You have a Working Sendroid Ultimate installation on the source server.
  3. Take a full backup of all Sendroid Ultimate files and database and keep them somewhere safe

Migration Steps

Please follow the following steps carefully to successfully migrate your Sendroid Ultimate installation to a new server

A, Migrating Sendroid Ultimate Files

  1. Login to the cPanel on your current server and open your File Manager. Use an FTP client to access your old server if you do not have cPanel
  2. Browse to your Sendroid Ultimate installation directory
  3. If you are using cPanel, click on the Settings button on the top-right of the screen and make sure the "Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)" check box is checked. If not, some important hidden files will not be accessible to you
  4. Highlight all files and folders within the Sendroid Ultimate directory and compress them into a ZIP file
  5. Download the ZIP file from step 4 above to your computer
  6. Login to the cPanel on your new server and open your File Manager. Use an FTP client to access your new server if you do not have cPanel
  7. Browse to the directory you wish to move Sendroid Ultimate to on the new server
  8. If you are using cPanel, click on the Settings button on the top-right of the screen and make sure the "Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)" check box is checked. If not, some important hidden files will not be accessible to you
  9. Upload and Unpack the ZIP file you downloaded in step 5 above into the directory
  10. Confirm that contents of the .htaccess file in the directory is exactly the same as the original one that came with your Sendroid installation

B, Migrating Sendroid Ultimate Database

  1. Open PHPMyAdmin on your current server and navigate to your Sendroid Ultimate database
  2. Click on the Export tab
  3. Click the Go button to start exporting all Sendroid Ultimate database tables structure and data. This process would automatically trigger the exported database (SQL) file to downloaded on your computer
  4. Login to the Database Manager on your new server. (Go to MySQL @ Databases link if you use cPanel)
  5. Create a new database and take note of the database name
  6. Create a new database user and take note of the Username and Password
  7. Assign full access and privileges on the new database you created in Step 5 above to the new user
  8. Open PHPMyAdmin on your new server and navigate to the new database you created in step 5 above
  9. Click on the Import tab
  10. Choose the .sql file downloaded to your computer in step 3 above
  11. Scroll down to the end of the page and click the Go button to import the database file

C, Connecting Sendroid Ultimate to the New Database

  1. Login to the cPanel on your new server and open your File Manager. Use an FTP client to access your new server if you do not have cPanel
  2. Browse to the directory you move Sendroid Ultimate to on the new server
  3. Browse to /system/core/
  4. Open the file named Config.php in an editor
  5. Change the value of $configdatabase to your new Database Name from step B5 above
  6. Change the value of $configuser to your new Database Username from step B6 above
  7. Change the value of $configpassword to your new Database Password from step B6 above
  8. Save the changes you made to the file

D, Testing The Migration

After you have completed the migration steps, it is very important to check if everything went fine. To do this, simply open your new Sendroid Ultimate URL on a web browser. If the migration was successful, you should see your Sendroid Ultimate login page or License Validation page.

If you are prompted to enter your license key, simply enter same license key you used on the old server. If the key doesnt work, simply contact Ynet Interactive, requesting for a license re-issue.

If you encounter any errors at this point, your best bet would be to start the whole process over again, making sure that No Requirements or Migration Step was missed or done improperly.
